While coastal and estuarine nurseries are essential areas for the juvenile development of many fish species, they are subject to a constantly changing chemical contamination pressure. This project proposes to characterize the legacy and emerging chemical contamination by trace metal elements and organic compounds in juvenile sea bass from different nurseries on the French coasts (Seine, Loire, Gironde), as well as to identify the potential links between contamination, growth and body condition of these juveniles.
